Lovers’ Quarrel

It’s important to know how to read body language.  You know a discussion is getting heated when the ears go back, the eyes narrow, and someone’s tail flicks into a blur of staccato irritation.

  1. Roxy the pup here. Now I dispute that! I was innocently walking past Daisy The Psychokitty (starting to see why she’s called that now!) and for no reason at all she hit me, hard, right on my nose!!!! I’m only ickle so her paw is big and it hurt!!!

I’m starting to think cats are mean! Hmpf!

    1. Oh no, Roxy! No, no, no, no, no! Whenever you encounter a Cat in your path, you must stop respectfully at least 3 paw – lengths away and wait for permission to continue your stroll. Walking past Cats without permission is offensive to them and may cause them to deploy their claws of doom. They’re not mean–just very sensitive about their personal space. 1. The white cat (I get confused, dad calls him Sam,mum calls him idiot. So not sure of his name!) is nice. He let’s me walk past and even says hello. But Daisy is horrible. She comes over to me when I’m asleep and hits me! I don’t like her now!

      2. It’s good that you have a Cat friend. Finnegan is our friend–he headbutts us frequently and hardly ever hisses. Phelps, on the other paw, says there’s no reason to have puppies except to make puppy kebabs. Phelps is kind of mean but he’s okay so long as we give him his space. Woofs and Wags, Cosmo and Stella
