Home Cooking

Canned food is good and all, but nothing beats your homemade Dog food, Human Mommy.

Mmmm… My sensitive Canine nose detects chicken, brown rice, carrots and a soupcon of extra virgin olive oil.

Is it ready yet? It sure smells ready and, let me tell you, I’m ready to eat!

    1. It is delicious! My Humans make very simple food for Stella and me, but, if you want to train your Mum to switch entirely to home cooking, there are lots of good recipe books and websites for dogs. Here’s Human Mommy’s recipe:

      Ingredients:
2-3 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into small pieces

      1 cup brown rice

      3-4 carrots cut up

      Teaspoon of olive oil (optional)

      Directions:
Combine the rice and a large quantity of water in a big pot. Bring the water to a boil. Add the chicken after the rice has started cooking. Add the carrots last of all. Cut off the heat and cool when everything is cooked through and the carrots are soft. It takes around 40 minutes. Cool the food thoroughly before serving.

Happy Cooking! Woofs and Wags, Cosmo
