All right, I’ll give it a go.

My balance is off for hunting…er… ornithology.

Seriously, Humans, you’re holding up your cellphones and making kissy-kissy noises at me to get me to pose.
Don’t you see that I’m busy procuring breakfast…er…birdwatching?
Choose your totem animal carefully. If you dream of leaps so high and long they verge on flight, claws extended, in pursuit of plump birds, then the eagle is your totem.
Although falling snow draws large flocks to the feeder, you recognize that your midnight fur would provide insufficient camouflage against the white backdrop. Take a moment to feel grateful that you are a house panther who can watch birds for entertainment and whose food bowl is filled by the servants… er… humans.
Not sure what to make for dinner? Look to birds… er… nature for inspiration.

It is easier to make new friends when you have common interests. Is your potential friend an ornithologist? Get up on the window seat and watch some birdies with your new buddy.
Blizzards make for great bird tv.
